Our Mission

National Centre for Intelligent Systems is dedicated to advancing fundamental scientific understanding and translating discoveries into practical applications that benefit society. We foster collaboration across disciplines and nurture the next generation of researchers.

Our History

Established in 2018 under the National Mission on Interdisciplinary Cyber-Physical Systems (NM-ICPS), NCIS is an autonomous scientific body under the Department of Science and Technology, Government of India, mandated to build sovereign AI capability for national critical infrastructure.

Today, our facilities include state-of-the-art laboratories, high-performance computing clusters, and controlled-access research environments supporting researchers from premier institutions across the country.
